PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable miller cycle engine control method that can improve heat efficiency of an internal combustion engine when an intake valve is early closed or late closed in a heavy load state, and to provide a control device.SOLUTION: The variable miller cycle engine control method closes early or closes late the intake valve to lower a cylinder internal pressure when the internal combustion engine is in a heavy load state, while opens late an exhaust valve to increase an effective expansion ratio of a combustion gas when the internal combustion engine is in a heavy load state and the intake valve is early closed or late closed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
