PURPOSE:To reduce the center of gravity of an entire air conditioner by horizontally arranging a commutator, a filter and a heat exchanger sequentially from an air intake port in a casing. CONSTITUTION:In an air conditioner in a building which high power equipments are respectively contained in partitioned rooms in high thermal density such as an atomic power plant, various constituents such as a heat exchanger 14, a commutator 12, a filter 13, an eliminator 20, and a diffusing regulating mechanism 21 are horizontally disposed in addition to a blower 11 on a base 2 in one row, thereby forming a stable structure having low center of gravity in a high rigidity. Since a motor 4 and an impeller 9 are disposed particularly in a low position, it is very effectively to lower the position of the center of gravity. Since the constituents are disposed at the low positions, the blower 11 can be readily checked and inspected in maintenance periodically, and a remedy of reducing the vibration which takes place from rotary constituents can be easily provided. |
