PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption by applying a source voltage periodically to a stand-by equipment which is not used normally in a radio intermediate repeating station, and preventing its deterioration and checking its functions. CONSTITUTION:A branching and inserting device is provided to an intermediate repeating station of a wide-band radio trunk circuit, and the source voltage supplied from the station power unit PS25 consisting of solar batteries and storage batteries is applied normally to changeover switches 11 and 15 for signal transmission lines, switches 19a and 19b, CONT16' and timer device 20 of a control system, demodulator 13a in use, detector 14a, and base band amplifier 13a. Power source switches 21 and 22 are opened and no source voltage is supplied to a stand-by demodulator 13b, detector 14b, and base band amplifier 18b, but the switches 21 and 22 are closed periodically by a control signal 101 from the device 20, and a voltage is applied to an electrolyte capacitor in use by the demodulator 13b and amplifier 18b to carry out aging in addition to checking the operation of the demodulator 13b by the output of the detector 14b. |
