Newman Small Hive beetle trap trap will collect small hive beetles, thus assisting in managing this pest in Bee hives. Existing traps either use poison or a liquid to drown the small hive beetle once it enters the trap. The difference with this trap is it does not use chemicals or any liquid to kill the pest, it just holds them in a removable storage container. The unique idea that makes this possible is to use a physical one way gates that allow the beetle to travel into the trap but do not allow the beetle to exit the trap.
