PURPOSE:To obtain the titled fibers for knitted and woven fabrics, etc. having improved strength, heat stability and dyeability, by quenching filaments melt extruded through spinneret extrusion holes of the solidifying point or below, passing the quenched filaments through a heated atmosphere at a specific temperature, oiling the resultant filament yarn, passing the oiled filament yarn through the second heating zone, and winding the resultant filament yarn at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:Filaments (Y) of a thermoplastic polyamide, e.g. nylon 6, melt extruded through extrusion holes of a spinneret 1 are quenched to the solidifying point of the polyamide or below in a quenching apparatus 2, passed through the first heating pipe 4 having an atmosphere heated at [Tm (the melting point of the polyamide)-100]-(Tm-10) deg.C temperature, oiled in an oiling apparatus 5 and passed through the second heating zone 8 at [Tg (the glass transition point of the polyamide)+80]-(Tg+160) deg.C temperature, and then the resultant filament yarn is wound onto a winding apparatus 10 at >=4,500m/min winding speed to give the aimed fibers.
