PURPOSE:To avoid a shift of a positioning pin to the reverse position even though no engagement is performed between gears of a lock mechanism, by using two slits to form a selection positioning slit and inserting with play the positioning pins to these slits. CONSTITUTION:A selection positioning slit is formed with two slits, and positioning pins are inserted with play to these two slits. For instance, the 1st and 2nd pin insertion slits 22 and 23 are formed side by side at the base end side of a push rod 14. Then the 1st spring 26 is set between the 1st positioning pin 24 and a flange 25 on the outer circumference of a shift lever 7. The circular clips 28 and 29 are attached at both end parts of the 2nd positioning pin 27, and a spring 30 is set between a cylinder shaft 9 and these clips 28 and 29 respectively. A distance l is secured between an intermediate part 27a and the lower end of a push rod 14 while the rod 14 is not pressed downward. Then the 1st and 2nd selection positioning slits 31 and 32 are formed to a positioning plate 2, and parking side positioning recesses, etc. are formed on the inner surfaces opposite to the slits 31 and 32.
