PURPOSE:To assemble efficiently structural materials and to provide a reduction in the cost of manufacture and an improvement in quality by performing automatically the operations for positioning a face material, positioning a web material thereon, pressing the materials and welding the same. CONSTITUTION:A face material 1 is conveyed on a roller conveyor and is pressed to rollers 7a, 8a. A roller conveyor 4 is operated to press the face material to a stopper 22. A web material 2 is unloaded by a crane or the like on the material 1 and positioning arms 13, 14 are extended and further a pressing arm 15 is extended to dispose perpendicularly the material 2 on the material 1. The receiving shaft 20 of a gate-shaped supporting base 29 is brought down to press a pressing roller 29 to the top end of the material 2 and the material 2 is grasped by arms 17, 18 for preventing inclination. The stopper 22 is brought down and the speed adjusted roller conveyor 4 is operated to bring the contact part between the material 1 and the material 2 to the position of a welding machine, when the welding machine is operated to weld the contact part. |
