PURPOSE:To enhance color developing sensitivity and preservability of a thermal recording paper, by using p-t-butylbenzyl p-(p-t-butylbenzyloxy)benzoate. CONSTITUTION:A colorless or light-colored color forming compound, a phenol compound and p-t-butylbenzyl p-(p-t-butylbenzyloxy)benzoate are separately milled in water together with a surface active agent and a binder by a ball mill or the like, or p-t-butylbenzyl p-(p-t-butylbenzyloxy)benzoate is mixed into either one o both of the color forming compound and the phenol compound and then they are milled in water together with a surface active agent and a binder by a ball mill or the like. The material thus obtained is applied to a base, followed by drying. The thermal recording paper thus obtained is favorable in color developing sensitivity, and a clear image favorable in preservability can be obtained. |
