PURPOSE:To improve dust collecting efficiency and to provide a reduction in size and economization in energy by providing plural electrical dust precipitating electrodes having a potential difference to electric discharge electrodes in the direction where ion wind passes thereby forming electrical dust precipitating units. CONSTITUTION:The 1st dust precipitating electrodes 5A, 5B connected to a high voltage device 3 and the grounded 2nd dust precipitating electrodes 6A, 6B, 6C are provided alternately at equal intervals via a metallic screen 4 of a perforated plate to electric discharge electrodes 2A, 2B connected to the device 3 in the direction where ion wind flows, thereby forming an electrical dust precipitating unit 1. Plural stages of such units 1 are disposed in series. Since the plural electrical dust precipitating units are installed in the direction where ion wind flows, the ion wind is accelerated successively, by which an increase in the high pressure ratio of the suction powder and the rate of suction is made possible.
