The present invention provides a chemical reinforcement method for glass products such that the glass product have a higher strength than regular glass products, wherein the method comprises the steps of: pre-heating the surface of a regular glass product; a first coating step, for coating the surface of the regular glass product with KNO_3 and KCl, followed by drying; a second coating step, for coating with KNO_3, KCl, and fumed silica (SiO_2, dry silica), followed by drying and reinforcement process steps and washing and drying steps. The present chemical reinforcement method allows rapid and cost-effective reinforcement of glass products and provides, through a chemical ion-exchange, the glass product having a higher mechanical strength than the conventional glass product. |
