A frequency adaptive descreening method according to the embodiment of the present invention includes a step of obtaining a scan image of an original document; a step of analyzing frequency property of the obtained scan image to estimate resolution; a step of dividing the region of the scan image according to the analyzed frequency property; and a step of using the estimated resolution to perform adaptive filtering on the divided region. So, the half pattern of the scan image can be adaptively removed according to the frequency property.
