PURPOSE:To clean a photosensitive body double to attain a good and sure cleaning effect by giving two functions of shielding and cleaning to a magnetic brush under a cleaning blade. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic brush means 24 is brought into contact with a photosensitive body 21 and has not only the function of a seal member which prevents a toner particle, which is scraped away from a cleaning blade 23 and are dropped, from being scattered to the outside of a box body 22 but also the cleaning function which acquires remaining toner particles into the magnetic brush mechanically with the rubbing action of the means 24 against the surface of the photosensitive body 21. When a voltage having a polarity opposite to that of the electrostatical charge of the toner particle is impressed to the means 24, electric force acts besides mechanical cleaning, and the cleaning effect is improved furthermore. The impressed voltage is not a voltage which prevent the toner particle from being moved to a conductive roll 27. |
