PURPOSE:To attain miniaturization of a device main body by forming a two- dimensional actuator incorporating a focus control actuator and a tracking control actuator and making it thin in the direction of focus control driving direction in an optical pickup by utilizing a laser beam and reading the information written on a rotary disc. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic field is applied in the order of a yoke 24a, a magnet 25a and a pole piece 26a in a magnetic circuit for focus control. In this case, the magnetic field is applied in this order also with respect to 24b, 25b and 26b. In flowing a current to a voice coil 22 in this state, in flowing a current to a voice coil 22, a lens frame 21 incorporated with the voice coil 22 is driven vertically, a lens barrel 20 and a condenser lens 19 equipped with the frame 21 are also driven vertically to attain automatically the focus control. In a magnetic circuit for tracking control, the magnetic field is applied in the order of a yoke 27, a magnet 28 and a pole piece 29. In flowing a current to a voice coil 23 in this case, since the voice coil 23 is inserted so as to cross the magnetic field, the voice coil 23 is moved to the left and right and the frame 21 incorporated with the voice coil 23 is also driven to the left and right. |
