PURPOSE:To obtain a mean weight value which is higher than a set weight value even if the minimum value of an allowable setting range is below the set weight value, by reducing a target weight value for combination by a predetermined amount when a mean weight value is above the set weight value, and increasing the target weight value when a mean weight value is below the set weight value. CONSTITUTION:Each of the weighing machines 101-1, 101-2...101-n consists of a weighing hopper and a weight detector and measures the weight of an article being supplied thereto. A multiplexer 102 successively outputs the weight values Wi (i=1, 2...n) respectively outputted from the weighing machines, one by one, in response to a weight value read signal WRS. An A/D converter 103 converts the weight value Wi (analog) into a digital value. A combination processing unit 104 includes a processor 104a, a data memory 104b, a program memory 104c for storing a combination processing program, a timer 104e and so forth. A weight setting unit 105 for setting a set weight value Ws, an upper-limit setting unit 106 and a lower-limit setting unit 107 are provided to set an allowable setting range (an upper-limit value Wmax and a lower-limit vaue Wmin) for a total weight of combined articles.
