PURPOSE:To prevent a tear of a valve checking invasion of water from outside while exhausting gas generated from a storage battery by forming an exhaust gas passage by separating the storage battery from a space part with a water-proof valve and making a small hole provided on the peripheral wall near the bottom wall to be connected through with the space part. CONSTITUTION:A space part 4 upwardly opened by a cylindrical rib 12 is formed in the center of an under cover, the opening of the space part 4 covered by a preventive valve 5, which has permeability but does not let in water, while fixing a water-proof valve 5 by pressing a tapered cylindrical water-proof rubber 13 into the space part 4 from above the water-proof valve 5 and having a through hole 14 piercing the center of the water-proof rubber 13. Thereby, the gas generated from a storage battery 2 is exhausted outside from a small hole through the water-proof valve 5 via the space part 4 for adjusting internal and external atmospheric pressure. In the case of a machinery and apparatus using water, the invasion of water flowing backward through said exhaust gas passage 7 is prevented by the water-proof valve 5. Moreover, the exhaust gas passage 7 is curved almost in the L-shape while being provided with the water-proof valve 5 its bottom so as not to break the water-proof valve 5 even a rod is inserted from the small hole 6. |
