PURPOSE:Humicola thermocellulolytica is cultured and cellulase is collected from the culture mixture whereby heat-resistant cellulase showing high hydrolytic activity to high-crystallinity cellulose is obtained. CONSTITUTION:Humicola thermocellulolytica AJ117115 is cultured and cellulase is collected from the culture mixture. Humicola thermocellulolytica AJ117115 is deposited with the Fermentation Research Center of the Agency of Industrial Science and Technology as FERM-7036. As the carbon source for the culture, is used a substance containing cellulose. As the nitrogen source, may be used either of inorganic or organic compound, however, peptone or protein hydrolyzate is preferred. The cultivation is conducted aerobically, e.g., at 40-50 deg.C and 5.5-6.5pH. |
