PURPOSE:To obtain a display photoconductor which has a wide exit range and is bright and gives a three-dimensional impression to a display part by inserting plastic optical fibers into a supporting plate. CONSTITUTION:A plastic optical fiber 1 is folded in two, and its both end parts 12 are matched to each other and are inserted into a hole of a supporting plate 2. After insertion, both end parts 12 are drawn to form a loop-shaped bending part 11. In this manner, a photoconductor for display where a letter, for example, K is expressed is obtained. Since the bending part 11 has a small loop shape, the light incident from both end parts 12 is emitted from this part. Since the bending part 11 has a loop shape, an exit range and an angle of exit are larger in the bending part 11 than those in the cut end face of the fiber 1, and consequently, the display photconductor has a wider visual field range. It is better that the outside is subjected to a damage processing for the purpose of extending the range of exit of light.
