<p>PURPOSE:To attain stable control with good tracing characteristics by controlling the number of revolutions of a capstan in follow-up to the variation in the holding storage amount of a buffer memory storing temporarily a reproducing signal from a magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:In the figure, (a) indicates the holding storage amount of a buffer memory 40 and (b) is the digitized amount. Further, (c) is a frequency dividing ratio of a variable frequency divider 30, (d) is a frequency of a signal outputted from the variable frequency divider 30, and (e) is the number of revolutions of the capstan. Since the frequency dividing ratio of the variable frequency divider 30 is changed in follow-up to the change in the holding storage amount of the buffer memory 40, the curves a, b, c are almost similar. Since the frequency of the output signal is changed inversely in response to the change in the frequency dividing ratio of the variable frequency divider 30, the number of revolutions (e) of the capstan is a form inverting the phase of the curve (a) representing the holding storage amount of the buffer memory 40 so that the holding storage amount of the buffer memory 40 and the running speed of the tape are maintained almost in a prescribed value.</p> |
