PURPOSE:To enable switching of pens quickly, by a base accommodating in parallel arrangement a plurality of pens and a base supporting a hammer are installed and allowing to select a pen pressed by a hammer by means of relative position displacement of base by a locking mechanism. CONSTITUTION:2 bases 21, 22 are installed free to be displaced in a direction running along a platen 4, one base 22 installing in parallel a plurality of pens Pa-Pd and the other base 21 a hammer pushing either one of the pens in the direction to the platen 4. And, one of the bases 21, 22 is driven to a direction running along the platen 4 and a locking mechanism is installed between the bases 21, 22 which switches in a plurality of steps the relative positions of the both bases 21, 22 and connect them.
