PURPOSE:To make welding resistance excellent, by constituting the titled contact material from a composition consisting of a specific amount of niobium nitride and copper. CONSTITUTION:The composition of a sealing electric contact material consists of 0.8-26wt% of niobium nitride and the remainder of copper. Because a copper base is not sufficiently reinforced if the content of niobium nitride is 0.8wt% or less, good results are not obtained with respect to consumption resistance characteristics and welding resistance characteristics. On the other hand, when the content thereof if 26wt% or more, processing becomes difficult and the conductivity of the material also becomes low. This composite electric contact material has properties excellent in welding resistance and consumption resistance as compared with conventional silver-cadmium oxide electric contact material. |
