PURPOSE:To detect exactly a rotation by a titled mechanism which is small- sized and inexpensive, by placing oppositely the first and the second optical fibers on one end face of a refractive index distribution type lens, and emitting and photodetecting a light which is emitted from the first optical fiber and made incident to the second optical fiber, by the refractive index distribution type lens. CONSTITUTION:A lens 25 has a length of 1/4 pitch of a snake light cycle of a light, therefore, a light emitted into the lens from a projecting optical fiber 12 is projected as a parallel light roughly vertical to this end face from the end face of a disk 4 side of the lens 25. That is to say, the lens 25 functions as a collimator. Accordingly, when a slit 6 is positioned on a straight line for connecting the lens 25 and a slit 23, a light projected from the lens 25 passes through the slit 6 and the slit 23, it is reflected by a passive reflector 24, passes through the slit 23 and the slit 6 again, and is made incident into the lens 25 as a parallel light roughly vertical to the end face of the lens 25. In this case, a disk 22 functions as a mask of the passive reflector 24, and the slit 23 functions as a diaphragm of a light which is projected from the lens 25 and photodetected by the lens 25. |
