PURPOSE:To obtain the titled cover achieving the lowering of dust rising due to oxidation and of temperature decrease of hot metal blowing through runner part, by a method wherein it is constructed of double layers of the dust collecting cover lined with refractory covering just above the runner part of blast furnace and of the dust collecting cover covering the outside of heat insulating cover. CONSTITUTION:Just above the hot metal runner 6 conducting hot metal taken out from blast furnace (not shown in figure) into a mixer car 12 separating molten slag floated with a skimmer 4, the heat insulating cover 14 lined with refractory closely covering it is arranged and the dust collecting cover 7 covering the outside of this heat insulating cover 14 by a fixed distance is arranged. Thereby, dust rising due to oxidation is extremely decreased by consuming oxygen in the narrow space formed by the hot metal runner 6 and the heat insulating cover 14 and a small amount of rising dust is collected via said dust collecting cover 7. Further, the radiant heat from hot metal current is lowered and the temperature decrease of hot metal is prevented by the heat insulating cover 14 lined over the refractory. |
