PURPOSE:To satisfy both requirements of comfortability and steering stability by providing such damping characteristic as the damping force is low under low speed region while increase abruptly under intermediate speed region and maintain high level under high speed region. CONSTITUTION:Under low speed region, oil in an oil chamber B will function through a communication path 10A onto a slider 15 to separate it from a piston 6 thus to provide the flow path area which is the portion not covered with the projection of the slider in a notch 17 of a disc valve 16. Here a stopper 20 is contacting through the pressure at a recess 13 against a retainer 21. Under the intermediate region, the disc valve 16 will further flex to reduce a circular path between the disc valve 16 and a projection 20A of the stopper 20 which will be the flow path area. Under the high speed area, the slider 15 will be deformed until the disc valve 16 is held between the stopper 20 to provide a fixed orifice flow path area which is formed by the width of groove of the notch 17 and the thickness of plate. |
