The invention relates to a device for braking or for preventing back-slip, for skis, in which the two skis 1 are each equipped with a movable element 2 controlled by the user of the said skis in order to project perpendicularly at their sliding surface. This device is noteworthy in that the displacements of the two projecting elements 2 are controlled simultaneously and remotely by the skier by means of a remote control comprising: on the one hand, two receiver stations 6 each interacting with a projecting element 2 and, on the other hand, a command-emitter station 7 incorporated in one of the two ski sticks and providing an electromagnetic wave transmission to the two receiver stations.
