PURPOSE:To enable fine adjustment and to simplify constitution and handling of a three-dimensional detector by inclining slightly a stylus holding member as the function to adjust the position of the contactor of a stylus and enabling the fine adjustment. CONSTITUTION:The 2nd holding member 21 consists of two spherical faces having radii r1 and r2. The 1st holding member 19 is placed on the spherical face having the radius r1 and the center O1 of the spherical face having the radius r1 and the center of an electrode contactor 11 coincide. The spherical face having the radius r2 is provided on the bottom of a housing 18 and is held at the circular top end of a cylindrical member 24 movable horizontally. The member 24 is adjusted by means of plural adjusting screws 25 on the circumference of housing 18 when the member 24 is moved by said screws perpendicular to the central axis of the housing 18, that is, horizontally. The member 21 after the adjustment is fixed to the housing 18 by using a fixing member 26 and a fixing screw 27. The 2nd holding member 21 is also fitted to the housing 18 at about the same degree and is movable except in the direction rectangular to the axis. If r1 is made several 10mm., the reduction ratio is settable at an optional value by selecting suitably r2.
