PURPOSE:To enlarge a luminance contrast of a loss part and its circumference, and to detect easily the loss part by placing a stripped pattern-like light emitting surface so that an angle theta (acute angleAPA') made by a width A-A' of its non-light emitting part, and A or A' and a surface to be inspected P right below it becomes the same as an angle theta made by the maximum direction and the minimum direction of a specular reflecting component of a reflection characteristic of the loss part shown by a polar coordinate. CONSTITUTION:An inspecting device is provided with a surface to be inspected 1 having a specular reflection characteristic, a loss part 2 having a reflection characteristic of many specular reflecting components, a fluorescent lamp 10, a milk-white diffusing plate 11, a sheet 61 having a striped pattern of a transparent part 72 and an opaque part 82, a transparent plate 12 for holding the sheet 61, and a body 9 whose inside surface is painted with white delustering. In this regard, this device is designed so that an angle theta (acute angleAP'A) made by a width A-A' of the opaque part 82, and A or A' and a surface to be inspected P right below it becomes the same as an angle (a) made by the maximum direction and the minimum direction of the specular reflecting component of the reflection characteristic of the loss part 2 shown by a polar coordinate. As a result, the transparent part 72 of the sheet 61 and the opaque part 82 become a light emitting part and a non-light emitting part, respectively. |
