PURPOSE:To obtain a perfect plated steel strip by preventing the adhesion of foreign matters to a steel strip to be plated, by providing a support roll in the vicinity of the surface of the hot-dip metal plating bath in a snout for connecting a continuous annealing furnace and a hot-dip metal plating bath tank. CONSTITUTION:After a steel strip 1 is continuously heated and cooled in the reductive atmosphere in a continuous annealing furnace 19, the treated steel strip 1 is introduced into a hot-dip metal plating bath tank 23 through a snout 21 without being contacted with the air to be processed to a hot-dip metal plated steel strip 25. In this case, one or more of support rolls, for example, rolls 33, 35 are provided in the vicinity of the surface A of the hot-dip metal plating bath in the snout 21. By these rolls, the steel strip 1 is introduced into the definite position of the bath surface A. As a result, the steel strip 1 is penetrated into the bath while covered with the bath surface A and a part of metal ash covering the bath surface A adhered to and fallen from the inner wall of the furnace 19 or dross generated in the bath is involved into the bath to be capable of preventing the adhesion thereof to the surface of the steel strip 1. |
