PURPOSE:To reduce blow down, to make it possible to perform blow molding stably, and to obtain a blow-molded polyethylene article of less degraded properties, by adding a combination of a specified amount of a radical generator and a specified amount of a crosslinking aid to polyethylene and blow-molding the mixture. CONSTITUTION:In producing a blow-molded article by adding both a radical generator and a crosslinking aid to polyethylene and blow-molding the mixture during or after the reaction of the decomposed radical generator with the crosslinking agent and the polyethylene; said radical generator is added in an amount of 0.001-0.05wt% based on polyethylene and said crosslinking aid is added in an amount of 0.01-0.5wt%, based on polyethylene. Examples of the polyethylene resins used include ethylene homopolymers and ethylene-based copolymers of ethylene with other alpha-olefins. As the polyethylene resins, those having a melt index of 0.01-1.0g/10min can be used suitably.
