PURPOSE:To perform stable stroke extraction with simple expression by using two sets of rectangular coordinate systems, and expressing the direction of a stroke by a set of projective components for each coordinate axis. CONSTITUTION:Coordinates of two points A and B are expressed by (xa, ya) (xb, yb) and (x'a, y'a) (x'b, y'b) using two sets of coordinate systems x-y axis and x'-y' axis. Here, angles formed by a segment AB and each axis are represented by theta, phi. Coordinates of two points A, B are inputted from a tablet and cos<2>theta, sin<2>theta and cos<2>phi, sin<2>theta are calculated according to equations. The direction of the stroke can be expressed from the set of projective components for each coordinate axis.
