The invention concerns the industry for the manufacturing of hospital instruments. In particular, the invention concerns the industry for the manufacturing of instruments for the securing and installation of central venous catheters. The invention relates to a device used for the installation and securing of central venous catheters, which covers the puncture zone via which the tubing of the catheter is introduced, and wherein the surface of this device that contacts with the skin of the patient has hydrophilic properties that permit the retention of liquid medication which prevents the growth of bacteria and the migration thereof to the puncture zone. The material of the device is made of a flexible, biocompatible polymer.
