The invention relates to a device for dynamically adapting the access of a client to a server in a network system. The device has a receiving unit for receiving an access request of the client to the server, said access request containing access information of the client, and a processing unit for processing the access request and providing access to the server by the client on the basis of the access information. The processing unit is designed to check the access information during the duration of the provided access and to dynamically adapt the provided access on the basis of the result of the check. The invention further relates to a corresponding method for dynamically adapting the access of a client to a server in a network system. By using the proposed device, the access rights of a client can also still be adapted during an access process. In this manner, changing properties can be dynamically reacted to by adapting the access rights of a user.
