It is provided according to the invention in a solvent welding solution for durable bonding of waterproof sheets made from an elastomeric, solvent-weldable material that a 5-35 %, in particular 12 %, solution of a material based on EPDM having an ethylene content of at least 50 % and to which reinforcing resin has been added and which forms, on heat treatment, an interpenetrating network of chemically uncrosslinked EPDM and crosslinked reinforcing resin, is dissolved in perchloroethylene.
