PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of a photosensitive body and an image by coating the surface of the photosensitive body after cleaning with a uniform thin film of silicone oil in order to prevent adhesion of corona products and matters low in resistance. CONSTITUTION:An endless belt type oil-coated member 8 are swingably arranged between a uniform exposure lamp 3 and a primary electrostatic charger 4. An oil feeding member 9 is installed and it can be heated with a heater 10. In forming an image, the member 8 is pressed into contact with a photosensitive body 1 with a special swinging mechanism, and the silicone oil heated at 40 deg.C is spread to a uniform thin layer. As a result, the body 1 is given an effect similar to being uniformly heated with a special heater to about 40 deg.C, and deterioration due to adhesion of corona products is prevented. Since the spread oil layer prevents attachment of low resistance matters, such as water vapor, deterioration of an image due to reduction of resistance can be prevented. |
