The telephone set has a housing comprising a base support and cover which is joined by means of screws and in which a frame is disposed as a support for a keypad, a visual display and an operating panel. The keypad, display element with its cover and operating panel are spring-mounted and joined, together with the frame and a special key holder, in an exclusively positively-locking fashion and fixed between the cover and the base support in force-fitting and positively-locking fashions. <IMAGE>
