PURPOSE:To perform proper toner supply corresponding to an original and recording paper by detecting original information such as the density and size of the original and recording paper information such as the size of the original and controlling the amount of supplied toner according to those pieces of information. CONSTITUTION:The density information from an original density detection part 1 is A/D-converted as necessary and then inputted to a controller 3 together with the size information from a recording paper size detection part 2. The controller 3 determines the amount of supplied toner on the basis of those pieces of original information and recording paper information to control the time of feeding to the motor of a toner supply unit constituting a toner supply part 4. The amount of supplied toner may be controlled by controlling the time of feeding to the motor as mentioned above or controlling a mechanical means in addition to electric factors such as the rotating speed and a supply voltage. Thus, a minute density adjustment is made. |
