A blade type or vane cell displacement machine is proposed with a swivelling cylinder section, which is capable of swivelling into the gas inlet area and is equipped with a flexible end which, downstream of the cylinder section, in which is formed the cell with the largest volume, defined by two adjacent vanes, forms a radial extension for the gas outlet.
