The object of the invention, which is to keep the force exerted on the sheet by the blowing device constant over the full distance of fall of the sheet until it reaches its rest position on the pile in sheet feeds for printing presses, is achieved by assigning the blowing device to a moving device at at least one spring-loaded guide rod which is mounted in a manner displaceable perpendicular to the pile of sheets in a fixedly arranged bearing. <IMAGE>
