The present invention relates to a dental treatment system comprising a treatment apparatus which is connected to at least one instrument for the energy supply and function control of the instrument, and a foot-operated unit for controlling the treatment apparatus. In conventional dental treatment systems the treatment apparatus is connected to the foot-operated unit via a connection cable. This connection cable is easily damaged and is associated with the risk of accidents. According to the invention, these disadvantages of the conventional dental treatment system are avoided in that the foot-operated unit has a transmitter for the wireless transmission of control signals, and in that the treatment apparatus has a receiver. <IMAGE>
