A storage container for paintbrushes or other paint applicator appliances made from solvent-resistant double transparent film consists of a double film, one of which films has a cavity of the size of the colour applicator appliance(s) to be received. The films are welded at their outer edges. Above the cavity, and parallel to the weld seam located above the latter, is arranged a slit sealed with a self-adhesive strip for a hollow strip closure, and an eye is arranged in the centre of its upper edge.
