PURPOSE:To set a suitable aperture and to recognize the change of an aperture value by adjusting the dimming level in accordance with the aperture value obtained in a pre-light emission operation, and also displaying the changed aperture value when a preset aperture is improper. CONSTITUTION:On a basis of photometric outputs of photometric circuits 1 and 2 which measure a reflected light from an object with pre-light emission, generating circuits 3 and 4 of an aperture signal for flash generate the aperture signal for flash, and a preset aperture signal generating circuit consisting of a ring counter 10 and a switch SW11 generates a preset aperture signal. Selecting circuits 9 and 6 compare the aperture signal for flash and the preset aperture signal with each other to select the opne-side aperture signal, and dimming circuits 48-50 adjust the quantity of flash light in accordance with the reflected light from the object due to main light emission. On a basis of the aperture signal selected by selecting circuits, control means A1-A5 and O1-O5 control the dimming level of dimming circuits, and indicating circuits 11 and 12 indicate the selected aperture value. |
