PURPOSE:To work plastically an intricately shaped product having different sections and diameters with one time of working operation by forming rugged grooves on a pair of spherical rolls, and oscillating the rolls while rotating the same in the same direction so that a blank material is grasped under pressure in point contact therewith. CONSTITUTION:Supporting blocks 14, 15 and spherical rolls 2, 3 are oscillated and grooves 10, 11 formed on the rolls 2, 3 are inclined toward the feed side of a blank material. The rolls 2, 3 are then rotated at the same speed to the same direction around revolving shafts. The blank material is inserted in this state into between the rolls 2 and 3 and a rack 33 is gradually retreated. Then the rolls 2, 3 oscillate while rolling to grasp the blank material from both sides and grasp the blank material under pressure by the contact parts of the grooves 10, 11 while rotating the material, thereby feeding the blank material and working plastically the material successively from the end part side to a prescribed shape. Since the rolls 2, 3 oscillate around the centers during working, the exact plastic working is accomplished. |
