A device is proposed which serves to wipe motor vehicle windows. The wiper device comprises a wiper blade which can be moved to and fro between reversal positions and is provided with a wiper element with a flexible wiper lip which rests on the window to be wiped. In addition, the wiper device has a device for wetting the window with a fluid. So that the entire wiping field covered by the wiper lip is wetted uniformly and can thus be cleaned quickly and thoroughly, at least one stationary storage element for a cleaning fluid is arranged between the reversal positions of the wiper blade at least approximately in the plane of movement of the wiper lip. <IMAGE>
