PURPOSE:To obtain laser oscillating output, which make a linear operation corresponding to an input signal voltage, by a method wherein a signal voltage- control voltage converting circuit, which actuates corresponding to the non- linear characteristic of control current-laser output, is provided. CONSTITUTION:An arbitrary signal voltage 22 such as DC or triangle pulse, etc., is made an A/D conversion 23. Patterns corresponding to a curve 40, which is the non-linear characteristic of control current-laser output peculiar to a laser oscillator, are stored in a digital memory 25, and when a digital value equivalent to a voltage corresponding to a laser output (c) is given, a digital value (d) is outputted as a control current. A converted signal voltage 26 is made a D/A conversion 27, and the voltage 26 is turned into an analog signal 28, is attenuated/amplified 29 and makes a differential amplification 6 as a voltage 30 with an arbitrary magnitude. If such a converting circuit 20 is used, laser outputs 3a and 3b corresponding to the signal voltage 22 of a signal generator 21 are obtained, in spite of the non-linear characteristic of the laser oscillator, and a favorable modulation is obtained and the frequency region can be enlarged to the extent of 50kHz. |
