PURPOSE:To make a titled device capable of exchanging dies in a short time and improving the operating efficiency of a roll forming machine by aligning the arms, attached to a swiveling post, with the shafts of roll dies of the machine and moving roll dies between the shafts and the arms and supporting the dies. CONSTITUTION:Roll die supporting arms 20, 21 and 22, 23 constituted of one pair for one set each are attached to a swiveling post 24 mounted on a moving bed 33 having traveling wheels 35 and moving on a rail 38 by manual operation, and are aligned with roll-die attaching shafts 3, 4 provided to the main body 1 of a roll forming machine to engage the arms 20, 21 with the shafts 3, 4 by guide tubes 39, 40. Next, the roll dies 8, 9 are transferred from the shafts 3, 4 onto the arms 20, 21 to disengage the shafts 3, 4 and the arms 20, 21 from each other. Next, the post 24 is separated from the main body 1 by moving it, and is rotated by 180 deg. to align the arms 22, 23, made previously to support new rolls 8', 9', with the roll die shafts 3, 4, thereby transferring the dies 8', 9' onto the shafts 3, 4. |
