A mounting for inflatable dinghies (10) comprises a box (38) which is open at its rear side and can be fastened to the stern wall of a main vessel. A holding device (52, 74) serves to secure the transom (26) of the dinghy (10), on which an outboard motor (24) is located, in front of the open rear side of the box.
