PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of discharge by holding a photoelectric screen or phosphor screen at the lower end of a cylindrical support body that is stretched from the reverse side of an opposed phosphor screen or photoelectric screen and providing an insulating septum between the support body and the phosphor screen or photoelectric screen. CONSTITUTION:A photoelectric screen substrate 1 made of disk-type glass is airtightly sealed so as to form the bottom of a photoelectric screen substrate support body 2 made of the cylindrical metal with a collar. A photoelectric screen substrate 4 made of disk-type glass is airtightly sealed so as to form the bottom of a phosphor screen substrate support body 5 made of the cylindrical metal with a collar. An insulating septum 9 is cylindrical and one end is rounded so as to be folded inside. A side wall is stretched up to the photoelectric screen along the photoelectric screen substrate support body 2 and forms a glass coat 92 on the outside surface of a cylinder made of metal. Since the electrode 9 with the same potential as the photoelectric screen substrate support body 2 is provided and an electron is prevented from being emitted from the electrode by coating the surface with insulating material, unrequired discharge can be prevented. |
