PREPARATION OF ONE-PACK TYPE ELASTIC SEALANT

PURPOSE:To prepare the titled sealant having strong adhesion to top-coat and strongly alkaline formed sheet, by adding specified two types of silane coupling agents to a specified polyether or polyester resin. CONSTITUTION:A silane coupling agent having two alkoxy groups (e.g. a compd. of formula II) is added to a polyether or polyester resin having a terminal dialkoxysilyl group of formula I (where R' and R are 1-2C alkyl), e.g. MS Polymer (trade name of Kanegafuchi Kagaku Kogyo KK), and after removal of water, a silane coupling agent containing no Cl and having three alkoxy groups (e.g. a compd. of formula III) is added. The method produces one pack type elastic sealants having markedly improved adhesion to topcoat and improved warm water immersion-resistant adhesiveness to strongly alkaline formed sheet.
