PURPOSE:The titled composition which has lowered rolling resistance without detriment to mechanical properties and wet skid resitance, containing a polybutadiene rubber to which a (thio)benzophenone is introduced, as a rubber component. CONSTITUTION:A tire tread rubber composition containing, as a rubber component, (A) 20-90wt% substantially amorphous polybutadiene rubber to which 0.1mol or above, per mol of the molecular chain, of a (thio)benzophenone, e.g., 4,4'-bis-(dimethylamino)(thio)benzophenone is introduced and has a 1, 2 bond content of 40-90% and a Mooney viscosity (ML1+4, 100 deg.C) of 20-150, (B) 60- 5wt% natural rubber and/or polyisoprene rubber having a cis 1, 4 bond content >=90%, and (C) 60-5wt% styrene/butadiene copolymer rubber having a bound styrene content of 20-50% and a 1, 2 bond content of the butadiene portion of 10-50%, wherein the weight ratio of components B to C is 1:3-3:1.
