<p>As new compounds, long-chain alkylmethylammonium salts of N-phosphonomethylglycine having the formula <CHEM> wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 are the same or different and are selected from the group consisting of hydrogen or saturated or unsaturated straight or branched chain alkyl groups having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms, and wherein at least two of R1, R2, R3 or R4 are saturated short-chain alkyl groups having from 2 to 3 carbon atoms, and at least one of R1, R2, R3 or R4 is a a saturated or unsaturated straight or branched chain alkyl group having from 12 to 20 carbon atoms.</p> |
