PURPOSE:To provide a PE compsn. having excellent physical and chemical properties and processability, consisting of two kinds of polymers selected from among ethylene homopolymer and ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymers, said polymers having specified MW and being prepd. by polymn. in the presence of a specified catalyst. CONSTITUTION:A polyethylene resin compsn. having a melt index of 0.001-10 consists of two kinds of polyethylenes (A) and (B) selected from among ethylene homopolymer and ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymers. Polymer A is obtd. by two-stage polymn. in the presence of an Mg compd.-contg. Ziegler catalyst and polymer B is obtd. by polymn. in the presence of an organometallic compd./Cr compd.-supported catalyst. Polymer A consists of a low-molecular moiety having an MW of 5,000-90,000 and a high-molecular moiety having an MW of 100,000-1,500,000 in a weight ratio of 70:30-30:70 and has an MW ratio of high-molecular moiety to low-molecular moiety of 4-200 and polymer B has an MW of 50,000-500,000 and acounts for 10-65wt% of the quantity of the compsn.
